Louise Presley background is in fashion and commercial textiles. As a professional artist and a qualified adult tutor she has run private day workshops since 2004 from her studio situated in the beautiful grounds of Welbeck Abbey, North Nottinghamshire.

An avid treasure hunter she loves to share her ideas, experience and inspiring finds. Rummage through her fantastic collection of vintage and salvaged materials and make personal, practical and unique items and take home something wonderful!

Whatever level of skills you hold this is a chance to be creative in a
relaxed atmosphere with the luxury of dedicated time for yourself, space
to work freely in, unlimited materials, ideas and inspiration!

Places are limited so booking early is advisable. All materials and equipment are supplied along with pots of tea and cakes.

"Make a Quilt Day" ..Project Linus Event ............24th April 2010

Louise's studio will be the setting for a one day workshop of quilt making for the volunteer organsiation, Project Linus.

Project Linus originated in America, 1995 and began in the UK. March 2000 and it aims to provide a sense of security and comfort to sick and traumatised babies, children and teenagers through the provision of new home made patchwork quilts and knitted / crocheted blankets;and to give
an opportunity for needlewomen across to UK to contribute to their local community.

I DID IT!
